Much like nuclear energy, climate change is very misunderstood, but in a different way. Most people understand that climate change is a problem and that action should be taken but they don't understand what exactly is causing climate change. Climate change is change in weather patterns and temperature over long periods of time varying from decades to millions of years. Climate change is a phenomenon that has happened in the past and it is something that is happening right now. The temperature is rising due to carbon dioxide emissions and scientists predict that the temperature will rise due to greenhouse gases. Not only will the temperature change, but scientists predicts more extreme weather like worse storms and droughts and this is already coming into play, for example the drought in California. The issue with climate change is no action is being taken and if no one does anything than soon it will be too late to do anything about it and we will have to deal with the consequences.
